Questions
[ View/Ask ]This auction is for a large, mixed lot of industrial hydraulic and fluid power components. This collection appears to be spare parts or inventory from a commercial or industrial maintenance setting. Many of the components are visibly marked with high-quality, recognizable brands in the hydraulics industry, such as Sperry Vickers and Double A.
This lot is an excellent find for a repair shop, a maintenance facility, or anyone working on hydraulic systems like machine tools, heavy equipment, or manufacturing machinery.
1. Hydraulic Valves (The Main Components)
The majority of the lot consists of various hydraulic directional control valves (sometimes called solenoid valves). These are essential for controlling the flow, start, stop, and direction of hydraulic fluid to cylinders and motors.
Large Directional Control Valves: Several large, heavy-duty valves are visible. One prominent valve is clearly marked Sperry Vickers DIRECTIONAL VALVE with the model number DG5S-8-2A-3C-60. Another large valve appears to be a two-stage pilot valve.
Smaller Solenoid Valves: There are smaller, cartridge-style and manifold-mount valves, including one marked with the Double A brand.
Fittings and Manifolds: Many valves are shown with various pipe fittings and quick-connect couplings already attached, suggesting they were part of a modular system.
2. Hydraulic Pumps/Motors
The lot includes several heavy, dark grey/black components that look like hydraulic pumps or motors. These are the devices that generate or utilize the fluid power in a system. One component looks like a vane pump or motor with a shaft, and others appear to be part of a rotating assembly.
3. Pressure Gauges and Accessories
A clear plastic bin is filled with a variety of high-pressure gauges, many of which are already mounted to fittings and T-blocks with quick-disconnects. These are crucial for testing and monitoring pressure in a hydraulic circuit.
Pressure Range: One gauge face clearly shows a maximum pressure of 3000 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) or 3000 BAR (if the small text is BAR, but 3000 PSI is a common hydraulic pressure), indicating these are intended for high-pressure industrial applications.
Testing Equipment: The quick-connect fittings suggest this was used as a diagnostic kit for testing various points in a hydraulic system.
Condition and Disclosure
Condition: All components are being sold together as a single lot, "as-is, where-is." They are used, and appear to be in mixed condition with signs of dirt, wear, and possible residual hydraulic fluid from industrial use.
Functionality: We cannot confirm the functional status or operational condition of any individual item. They are being sold as unverified surplus. They may be new old stock, used and in working order, or require repair/reconditioning.
Inventory: Please examine all photos closely to determine the exact components included. No individual part numbers or specifications are guaranteed beyond what is visible on the labels and plates.
This lot is ideal for knowledgeable buyers accustomed to working with industrial fluid power equipment. Please bid accordingly.
Detailed Inventory of Components on the Skid
1. Directional Control Valves (The Solenoid Blocks)
These are the most numerous items. They are multi-ported blocks with electrical solenoids (the black/blue rectangles) that shift an internal spool to direct hydraulic fluid.
Item Description | Visible Brand/Model Details | Key Feature |
Large, Two-Stage Valve (Largest gray/silver unit) | Sperry Vickers DIRECTIONAL VALVE Model: DG5S-8-2A-3C-60 | This is a high-flow, pilot-operated valve. The smaller top section (the pilot) controls the movement of the larger main spool below. |
Black Directional Valve (Upper-middle, with black solenoids) | Double A (logo visible on data plate) | Likely a standard, single-stage solenoid-operated directional valve used for basic motion control. |
Blue/Gray Valve (Lower-middle) | Appears to be an older Vickers or similar brand valve. | This valve may be another directional control valve or potentially a pressure/flow control valve. |
Small Silver Valve (Bottom-left corner) | Appears to be a micro-switch or limit switch rather than a hydraulic valve. | Used to sense position in a machine or control a solenoid circuit. |
Other Valves (Various units scattered) | Multiple other solenoid valves in black and dark grey are present. | These are various sized directional and potentially pressure or flow control valves. |
2. Hydraulic Pumps/Motors (The Heavy Rotating Units)
These devices are designed to either generate fluid flow (pump) or convert fluid pressure into rotational motion (motor).
Item Description | Key Feature | Appearance |
Large Vane Pump/Motor (Lower-center, silver/grey) | Features a large, smooth, circular silver body (likely a mounting flange or cover). | Has inlet/outlet ports and a large circular cover/flange, typical of a Vickers Vane Pump or Motor assembly. |
Bare Pump/Motor Body (Middle-right, exposed porting) | Has an exposed rectangular mounting face and internal porting. | This is likely the housing or cartridge end of a pump or motor, showing where the rotating elements would mount. |
Other Small Pump/Motor (Near the large black valve) | A smaller, dense, black assembly with ports. | May be a smaller pump or a servo motor or similar rotating hydraulic device. |
3. Quick-Connect Fittings and Hoses
You can mention the value of the accessories included, as these often add up in cost.
Quick-Disconnect Couplings: Numerous fittings are visible on the valves and especially in the tote with the gauges. These allow for fast, easy connection and disconnection without tools, which is great for mobile equipment or testing rigs.
Hoses/Cabling: Electrical cabling and protective conduit are visible attached to the solenoids, ready for hookup.
