Payment must be made within 5 business days of the Notice of Award of the successful bid.  Pick-up must be within 10 business days after the date of the Notice of Award.

Buyer to pick up merchandise from Santa Maria Joint Union High School District, 2560 Skyway Drive, Santa Maria, CA.

  • Pickup is Monday thru Friday, October 13-24, 2025 between 8:00-11:00 am.
  • ID must be presented at pick-up with a printed copy of your receipt. No electronic form will be accepted. No exceptions. Thank you.

Forklift assistance is available at time of pick-up. Buyer must sign waiver and release of liability.


TERMS OF SALE: All purchases must be paid for in full on the day of sale. All descriptions are believed to be correct. Equipment sold AS IS, WHERE IS. Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sellers for any and all damages, claims, or liability for injuries to person or property caused during the sale or by the removal of purchased item/s.

Santa Maria Joint Union High School District may require a bid deposit.

Pay Mac, Inc. handles all payments for Santa Maria Joint Union High School District.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Santa Maria Joint Union High School District may charge sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.

The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
